My Adventures

Studying Abroad in Sorrento, Italy

In the spring of 2019, I had the amazing opportunity to study abroad in the small coastal city of Sorrento in southern Italy.  Just an hour train-ride away from Naples and a boat from famous islands such as Capri, this experience was definitely one of the most mind-blowing of my life.

Of all the things I learned, I felt the most important was how to budget my money and get the most out of every dollar.  The following destinations were a few of the places I toured during my semester. The beauty is not so easily captured in photographs, but that is why I am a strong believer that one should travel for himself!

I will forever believe that traveling not only opens up your mind to new cultures, foods, and religions, but also serves as a connecting point for humans across the globe: everywhere you go, you will find people who are just as curious about the world as you are.  It is our duty, and our privilege, to explore and understand the relationship between civilization and nature while we have the ability to do so.

Positano

Just a short (but terrifying!) half-hour bus ride from Sorrento lies one of the most beautiful cliff-side towns in southern Italy: Positano.  In the summer, this town is packed to the brim with tourists and Italian vacationers, but I had the opportunity to see it in the quiet months of March and April.  Its remarkable architecture and stunning blue water made it one of my favorite spots!
